BlackBerry 8830 Airplane Mode Settings
On some BlackBerry phones, you can set up airplane mode directly. But to enable airplane mode function on BlackBerry 8830, you should turn off wireless connections. you can’t find the “airplane mode” settings directly on BB 8830.
After turning off wireless connections, you can still read emails, create emails in drafts or use other items on the Blackberry .
From your BlackBerry 8830 Home screen or in the application list, click Manage Connections > To turn off a wireless connection, clear the check box beside the connection type;
To turn off all wireless connections, click Turn All Connections Off > then you can keep using blackberry on an airplane or in a hospital.
