Muti Language Support for Blackberry
Cara install Language - Japanese Chinese etc ke Blackberry biar bisa baca dan tulis dalam Bahasa Lainnya.
Saranya, coba dulu update software OS dari Blackberry Desktop Manager.
Blackberry Desktop Manager ada di CD software yang dibundle dengan Blackberry. Kalau tidak punya CD lagi, install lewat website BIS Indonesia sesuai provider anda. Link website Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Indonesia ada dibawah. Instal ke PC dan run desktop manager.
- Connect your BB to the PC
- Open/Startup Desktop Manager
- Click on “Application Loader”
- Then click “Update Software”
Juga klik on “Check Updates” dibagian kanan bawah Desktop Manager.
Process ini akan mengupdate OS Blackberry handheld anda dengan yang terbaru serta multi language support yang terbaru. Selalu click “check updates” di desktop manager untuk OS dan language support terbaru.
Jika masih tidak ada language support yang anda inginkan, coba cari ke halaman Blackberry Operating System Download dengan operator negara lainnya yang punya language support yang anda inginkan. Setelah dapat, process nya sama, download OS terbaru sesuai jenis Blackberry dan install ke BB anda.

atau ke website AT&T’s Blackberry mungkin lebih banyak Language Support.

Cari OS/firmware sesuai dengan type Blackberry, download dan install ke PC dan sekarang Blackberry desktop manager.
Kalau anda hanya ingin bisa BACA Chinese Characters Font dan tidak perlu tulis/input text, anda bisa Download Chinese Hong Kong Font Pack
Ini saran dan cara dari salah satu forum Blackberry:
Some carriers firmware only includes some language support you will need to download another carriers firmware that has “Multilanguage” support. To do this you can follow the steps below:
First, find a carrier that supports the language you desire to download. i.e Hong Kong carriers for Chinese Language?
1. Download the latest Multilanguage firmware using this according to your Blackberry type.
2. Install the firmware (OS) onto your PC running BlackBerry Desktop Manager
3. Go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file. If you are using Desktop Manager 4.7 you must also disconnect your PC from the internet.
4. Connect your device and open Desktop Manager
5. When prompted select “Upgrade Now” (If you are not prompted select Applications Loader > Update)
6. Follow the prompts and your device will be upgraded.
The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it’s done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says “waiting for initialization.”
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

mau tanya bro n sist..
gw sudah lama pake multi language, kebetulah pake yg font jepang buat kerjaan.
Dulu waktu install sih gak ada masalah. Caranya sama kaya yg tertulis di atas.
Nah skrg, pas mau bikinin buat temen, pas selesai download OSnya, kenapa ya interface Blackberry Desktop Managernya berubah?
di menu-nya (sebelah kiri desktop manager), cuman ada
applications
organizer
dll
dll
masuknya kemana ya, supaya bisa “centangin” japanese font-nya?

Mungkin tdk cocok dengan versi Handheld atau os anda, anda bisa coba instal ulang

harusnya bisa, pada saat setup pilih Indonesia
kalau OS anda tidak bisa, download dan install OS terbaru dari operator Indonesia
anda bisa dapat website operator Indonesia di halaman

Bisa, di menu Options \ Language and Text Input
pilih Bahasa Indonesia di Language
Kalau tidak ada berarti OS anda tidak dilengkapi Bahasa Indonesia, pada saat instal / upgrade OS ingat pilih lokasi Indonesia
