The first list of features is available in the ‘rogue’ release, the rest we’ll be working on:

  • *Lists, Lists, Lists!!!* – You can create, delete, subscribe, add members, view members, all the functionality you would expect of an Über mobile client!
  • *Find People* – You can search for people, just like the ‘Find People’ link on Twitter’s home page.
  • *New Icon* – We love it!
  • *Über Bar* – We couldn’t resist the name! This is a tab bar at the top of the screen, the neat thing is that you can add your own tabs! A list can be a tab, a saved search, and later other types of timelines.

The following features are still being worked and we hope to get them into the final Beta-6 release

  • *Retweets* – We will support the old method and new method, you decide!
  • *Saved Searches* – Fully integrated with Twitter’s saved search capability.
  • *Update Twitter Profile* – Yes, you will be able to update your Twitter profile directly from your phone.
  • *Profile Picture* – We have heard you, we will allow you to upload a picture for your Twitter avatar right from your phone!
  • *Report Spam* – One menu selection to report a tweet as a spam, and optionally block the user.
  • *Twitter Geo-Tagging* – We will directly support Twitter’s new geo-tagging capability. You can decide whether to still use myloc.meURLs, Twitter Geo-Tagging, or both!
  • *Twitter name menu* – Type ‘@’ and a list of your friends automatically pops up allowing selection
  • *Larger Avatars* – Click the profile picture, and view a larger version!

BBM 5.0.0.54 Leak

Blackberry Messenger New Leak Version v.5.0.0.54

Baru kemarin saja BBM leak version 5.0.0.52 di release online oleh beberapa website Blackberry, hari ini sudah punya leak version terbaru yaitu, v. 5.0.0.54 khusus untuk OS versi 4.7+ atau OS 5.

Ini fitur baru yang diupdate ke versi BBM 5.0.0.54:

  1. bisa kirim voice note
  2. bisa setting automatic menerima voice notes
  3. new bbm icon hanya robah sedikit
  4. bisa preview pictures yang diterima sebelum downloading
  5. downloading picture lebih cepat
  6. smoother interface
  7. group chat more responsive

di BBM 5.0.0.52 /4 juga ada fitur baru “turn off all notifications for this group”, caranya:

  1. buka group yang anda ingin robah settings,
  2. klik menu BB
  3. pilih “group details”
  4. scroll ke paling bawah ada option “on” / “off”
  5. “turn off all notifications for this group”

  • Pastikan sudah backup data anda.
  • Utk pemakai Onyx/Storm2 atau Bold/Jave/Gemini dgn OS 5 Silahkan langsungg download.

  • Utk ‘Download Failed” harap dimaklumkan karena ribuan user dari berbagai dunia sedang mendownload. Dicoba terus saja

NOTE: New BBM v5.0.0.54 ini hanya bisa diinstal ke OS 4.7+ / OS 5, baca post kami untuk cara instal OS 5

Update 11Dec 2009:

Kami barusan upgrade ke BBM v.5.0.0.54, sangat responsive dibanding dengan 5.0.0.33, tidak jauh beda dengan v.5.0.0.52 mungkin ada updates bugs. Kalau kami lihat di application details, juga tertulis di release oleh vendor “Research In Motion” kayaknya versi ini resmi dari RIM cuman belum di release lewat websitenya karena hanya bisa di instal ke OS 4.7 ke atas dan OS 5.

Walaupun begitu, kami sarankan anda untuk backup contacts anda sebelum upgrade, backup ke memory card jangan hanya backup remotely. Karena kami back up remotely dan tidak semua contacts PIN kembali.

Tidak tau kenapa juga, biasanya kami restore remotley lewat email terdaftar, dan dapat restore semua contacts, tetapi kali ini dari 5400+ contacts kami, hanya 1380+ contacts dapat di restore kembali. Mungkin saja RIM sudah benar benar limit maximum contacts nya dan hapus contacts kami lainnya.

Jadinya lebih dari 4000 contacts tidak lagi terdaftar di BBM kami. Untungnya kebanyakan member sudah daftar email nya ke BerryIndo.com. Jika anda belum daftar email, gampang koq, hanya kirim email kosong ke email:  berryindo@getresponse.com

Ini dia Blackberry Messenger versi terbaru versi LEAK v5.0.0.52 untuk update versi BBM5 sebelumnya yang official 5.0.0.33.

Update 12 December 2009 – New BBM Leak v 5.0.0.54

Versi LEAK BBM

Versi 5.0.0.52 adalah versi “LEAK”. Untuk yang masih belum mengerti apa itu “leak” yaitu adalah versi BETA yang belum di luncurukan secara resmi oleh Blackberry / RIM. Versi leak ini punya fitur baru tetapi belum 100% stabil.

Ini fitur baru yang diupdate ke versi BBM5:

  1. bisa kirim voice note
  2. bisa setting automatic menerima voice notes
  3. new bbm icon hanya robah sedikit
  4. bisa preview pictures yang diterima sebelum downloading
  5. downloading picture lebih cepat
  6. smoother interface
  7. group chat more responsive

Perhatian:

Kami sudah coba install BBM v5.0.0.52 leak ini kepada Blackberry Bold dan Javelin kami dengan OS5 dengan sukses tetapi kami tidak bisa jami bahwa Versi ini akan cocok untuk semua jenis Blackberry. Link dibawah ini aktif pada saat kami posting tetapi kami tidak bisa jamin tetap akan aktif selamanya.

Pertanyaan FAQ: Ini beberapa pertanyaan dari members:

Apakah contacts akan hilang pada saat upgrade?
Pada saat kami install update, tidak hilang sama sekali, tetapi tetap disarankan untuk backup contacts remotely ke RIM dengan daftar email anda ke RIM.
Caranya, buka BBM, klik menu BB, pilih backup contacts remotely

Apakah saya harus delete BBM lama utk upgrade?
Tidak usah, anda bisa timpah saja ke BBM lama anda, pada saat instal timpa, ada beberapa pesan apakah anda ingin timpa versi lama, pilih YES dan lanjut.

Apakah bisa untuk OS 4.6?
Seharusnya, bisa, kami juga belum coba utk OS lainnya, kalau anda tidak puas setelah upgrade, delete saja BBM lama di options, advance options, applications dan install ulang BBM 5 resmi v.5.0.0.33 di http://www.blackberry.com/messenger atau tunggu saja yang resmi, akan kami posting disini setelah ada pengumuman release official BBM dari RIM

BerryIndo Akhirnya Upgrade ke OS 5

Akhirnya BerryIndo.com Upgrade ke OS 5 Walaupun masih Leak / BETA

Blackberry OS versi 5 sudah leak lumayan lama, yang resmi masih belum di release oleh RIM. Sebenarnya sudah banyak user yang suka main install BB nya sudah coba upgrade Operating System (OS) Blackberry nya ke OS 5 dengan sukses.

Apa itu OS?

Saya masih dapat banyak pertanyaan “apa itu OS?” Ini dia, OS = Operating System untuk Blackberry seperti nya Windows XP untuk PC

Setelah beberapa bulan tunggu release yang official oleh RIM, karena BBM kami sangat lemot sekali dengan terlalu banyak contacts, silahkan baca post mengenai BerryIndo Maximum Contacts Blackberry Messenger Reached. Sampai BBM kami sama sekali tidak bisa nyala, walaupun di reset. Mungkin saja dengan hard reset atau wipe handheld akan perbaiki masalah ini, maka kami sekalian saja upgrade ke OS5.

Hasilnya? Kami sangat puas dengan OS 5, dengan fitur baru seperti:

  1. SMS messages interface yang seperti BBM v5,
  2. Media pictures bisa slide seperti iPhone,
  3. Browser yang lebih cepat dan yang paling penting,
  4. BBM kami yang sudah punya maximum contacts agak lebih stabil (walaupun masih sangat lemot karena terlalu banyak contacts).
  5. Bold kami juga lebih stabil di bagian application memory, terakhir ini, Bold kami suka tiba tiba application memory low, drop sampai zero kb dan harus restart dan reboot Blackberry setiap pagi. Setelah instal OS 5, sudah agak lumayan stabil application memorynya.

Walaupun begitu, kami tidak bisa jamin anda akan merasa yang sama dengan Blackberry anda jika diupgrade dengan OS5, namanya OSnya masih belum resmi release oleh RIM.

Apakah bisa untuk Blackberry lainnya?

Yang penting ada OS tersedia, kalau dapat pasti bisa, kalau tidak ada, tunggu saja official release oleh RIM

Apakah ada Download Link OTA?

File OS sangat besar dan berat, sekitar 130MB, maka harus download lewat PC dan di install lewat Desktop Manager, tidak ada link OTA untuk OS.

BeejiveIM Beta v1.1.2 Works With All OS 5.0

BeejiveIM Beta v1.1.2 Works With All OS 5.0 Versions!

Before I get to the guide I just want to clarify that yes, I do realize the latest beta for BeejiveIM is v1.9.6 and v1.1.2 is an old beta. This guide is for those  BlackBerry users who prefer using BeejiveIM, don’t want to downgrade from OS 5.0 and don’t mind using an older beta version of BeejiveIM. Consider that you are already using leaked software (OS 5.0) so if you can’t IM with any apps other than BeejiveIM then this guide is for you.

@BRSDiddy sent me a some screenshots and details for how to get BeejiveIM Beta v1.1.2 to work with all OS 5.0 versions. He tried this method with the newer BeejiveIM betas, but it only worked with v1.1.2. If you’ve tried to open BeejiveIM with OS 5.0 you probably got a java language error and weren’t able to run it. This guide will help you get BeejiveIM beta to work on your BlackBerry running OS 5.0.

Since this guide is based on a beta BlackBerry application and leaked OS versions do this at your own risk and only if you’re comfortable with software that isn’t guaranteed to work. This is a temporary solution until RIM officially releases OS 5.0, followed by a compatible version of BeejiveIM from the guys over at Beejive.com.

First thing you’ll want to do is back up your BlackBerry just in case something goes wrong. If you need help with this click here for a full guide on how to backup and restore your device. If you need help installing apps OTA click here.

STEP 1

Completely remove your current version of BeejiveIM and reboot your BlackBerry with a battery pull.

Download BeejiveIM beta v1.1.2 after your BlackBerry boots up.

STEP 2

Once you have BeejiveIM installed go to Options Apps and search for it.

Open the app to view its details, highlight and click on Edit Permissions.

STEP 3

In the RIM and MIDP JSRs windows all of the dropdown boxes should be set to “unspecified”.

Open each these dropdown boxes and set each to ALLOWED.

Close out these menus, do a battery pull and you’re done.

To test if this method worked for you simply run BeejiveIM once your BlackBerry boots up. Let @BRSDiddy and I know how this guide worked for you in the comments!
